How to Play as Kira in BloxNote
What Kira's win condition is, how the Death Note kill works, and what a 30-hour player says about why Kira is currently hard to win with.
What Kira is trying to do
The developer's description gives Kira a two-part win condition: delete all players, and delete L specifically. Kira does not act alone - the Kira Follower seat exists to help cover the kills - but the notebook is the weapon, and everything about playing Kira well flows from how it is used.
The kill itself is deliberately fast. The one video we have of a full round shows a player opening the Death Note and writing a name in roughly a second, in the open, with other players nearby. That speed is why the description's own advice cuts both ways: Investigators who cluster together are hard to pick off one by one, but anyone who wanders off alone is one written name away from losing the round.
The notebook and the passing problem
The notebook can apparently be passed between the two killer seats. A player with about 30 hours in the game points out a design problem: the animation for passing the notebook is the same as the animation for pocketing it, so Investigators watching only get a fifty-fifty read on who actually holds it. That player calls it unfun for everyone except Kira and asks for a distinct passing animation and a cooldown.
For you as Kira this cuts both ways. The ambiguity protects you - nobody can be sure who holds the notebook. But it also means your Follower cannot prove innocence any better than you can.
Why Kira is currently hard, honestly
The same 30-hour player's review, from 11 September 2026, is blunt: almost no command cards exist in this version, and the only one implemented is a camera card for L. In the game the review compares BloxNote to, both L and Kira carried command cards that gave their sides real advantages. Here Kira has, in that player's words, no very good way of getting IDs or gaining an advantage, so winning against a competent lobby is difficult. The follower may also miss chat messages because there is no notification - coordination runs through a menu the reviewer describes as clumsy to open every two seconds.
A different player's comment on another video says Kira is overpowered. Those two accounts contradict each other. We are not going to settle a balance argument we have not played ourselves; what we can say is that both accounts agree the ID system is central, and that is where a new Kira should focus attention.
One recorded round doubles as a cautionary tale about pace. The Kira in it ignored stealth entirely - wrote a name in the open, within sight of other players, about a second per kill - and the round collapsed within minutes as the town converged on them. The reviewer's framing of the original game transfers naturally: wait, let suspicion do the work, and do not spend the notebook's early seconds on a kill the whole lobby will witness.
Note that the developer's description carries a blunt anti-cheat warning: cheaters will be permanently banned. Script videos for this game already exist on YouTube. Using one is the fastest way to lose the account you are playing from.
The shop, spins and what money cannot buy
Everything the shop sells is cosmetic, per the 30-hour player's review: titles, emotes and card cosmetics obtained through a spin system the reviewer bluntly calls gambling-based while conceding it has no gameplay effect. The developer's own game-passes list matches that read - Skip Spins (99 Robux) sells convenience for the cosmetic lottery, V.I.P (399 Robux) and the two emote passes sell expression, not power. Prices are a snapshot from 13 September 2026; they move.
For a new Kira the practical takeaway is that no purchase fixes Kira's actual problems. The disadvantages the review lists - no command cards, no ID access, no chat notifications - are not on sale.
What we have not checked
We have not played a round as Kira. The kill timing, the passing animation detail and the command card situation all come from two player videos we cite by link and timestamp on our facts page. The full list of what is still unconfirmed is in our open questions guide.

Frequently asked
How does Kira kill in BloxNote?
By opening the Death Note and writing a player's name. One player recording the game in September 2026 says the whole action takes about a second; that is a single player's account, not our own measurement.
Can the Kira Follower also write in the Death Note?
We do not know. The developer's description only says Kira and Kira Follower work together to delete everyone. Whether the Follower has writing rights is on our open questions list.
Why do players say Kira is weak right now?
A player with about 30 hours in the game argues Kira lacks command cards, has no good way to learn IDs, and gets no chat notification, so winning requires an inattentive lobby. Another player's comment calls Kira overpowered - the two accounts disagree, so we report both.
