How to Play as L in BloxNote
L is the killers' priority target and the Investigator team's support role. What the description and one full-round video actually establish about playing L.
L's job in one sentence
The description is unusually specific for L: assist the Investigators and help uncover Kira before they can delete everyone - and the sentence kills two ways, because L is also the killers' named target. Play L as the person the whole Investigator side is protecting while you do the connecting work.
The tools L reportedly has
Two tools show up in player footage rather than in the description. First, private messages: the L player in one recorded round messages a specific player privately to compare notes, away from the public discussion. Second, a camera command card - the one command card a long review says is currently implemented, and it belongs to the L side. In the game BloxNote is modeled on, both sides carried command cards; here the review counts exactly one, which makes L's camera the single asymmetric tool in the current build.
Both of these are single-source observations. We mark them as one player's account and link the video on our facts page. Nothing in the developer's description contradicts them, and the camera card matches the review's larger point that the command card system is mostly unimplemented in v0.1.
How to not die as L
The kill in this game is fast - about a second of notebook writing, per one player's footage - and the killers win outright if L is the name written. The practical consequence from watching recorded rounds: L should not be the person who wanders off to check a noise, and L should treat being followed the way Investigators treat it, as a threat.
During discussions, L's value is pattern-keeping: who was near the victim, who was together before the body dropped, who is steering votes. One recorded round was lost largely because a killer wrote names in the open and the town still failed to organize - the footage shows players hesitating to vote without information, saying they would rather skip and listen. Collecting that information between meetings is L's stated job, and sharing it privately is the tool the footage shows.
What we have not checked
Whether L has any task bar of their own, what exactly the camera card shows and for how long, and whether L sees anything Investigators do not. All of it is in the open questions list until we can check it.

Frequently asked
Why is L the most important Investigator-side role to protect?
The developer's description says the killers win by deleting everyone and specifically deleting L. L dying is written into the killers' win condition, which makes L the role the other side is hunting.
Can L talk to players privately in BloxNote?
One full-round video from 6 September 2026 shows the L player messaging another player privately. That is a single player's account; we have not seen it in official material.
Does L have command cards?
A 30-hour player's review from 11 September 2026 says the only command card currently implemented is a camera card for L. Kira has none. Treat this as one player's account that matches the game's v0.1 state.
