How Many Players Are in a BloxNote Server?
Roblox's API caps BloxNote servers at 13 players. What that means for the roles math, and what public servers looked like on 13 September 2026.
The number, and where it comes from
Roblox's games API reports maxPlayers 13 for BloxNote's universe record, and the public server endpoint reports the same cap server by server. This is the rare fact we can state without hedging: it is read from Roblox itself, twice, on 13 September 2026.
The same API snapshot reported 316,391 lifetime visits and a live count in the mid-1400s at the moment we sampled - and on that sample, the first hundred servers in the public list sat between 10 and 13 of 13 players. Busy, but a nine-day-old game's Saturday can look like that; check the live page rather than trusting a snapshot.
Why 13 matters for this particular game
Social deduction scales oddly. Comfort comes from a lobby big enough to hide in and small enough to read. At 13 with up to two killers, every single player is a meaningful fraction of the electorate - one switched vote changes an expulsion, and one absent Investigator slows the task-bar win route for everyone.
It also changes how the killers' written-in target plays. The description makes L a mandatory kill for the killers to win. In a 13-seat lobby, L knows they are one of the most watched people on the map the moment roles are dealt.
What we have not checked
Whether private servers differ in size, whether the cap has changed across the daily updates the developer shipped between 9 and 12 September, and the actual role split per lobby. The role count we can cite; the seat math we cannot.

Frequently asked
What is the BloxNote server cap?
13 players. We read it from Roblox's games API (maxPlayers on the universe record) and it matches what the public server list reports for every server we sampled.
How are 13 players split between roles?
No source we have read states the split. The game has four roles across two sides, but the exact assignment at 13 players is unconfirmed and sits on our open questions list.
Are BloxNote servers usually full?
In the sample we took on 13 September 2026, the first hundred public servers listed were mostly between 10 and 13 players - full or close to it. That is one snapshot, not a trend; the live count on our home page updates automatically.
