How Voting Works in BloxNote: Meetings and Skip Votes

What recorded rounds show about the discussion phase: skipping is allowed and often right, accusations need witnesses, and L has a private channel.

The shape of a meeting

When a body turns up, the round pauses for a discussion and then a vote. The footage we cite shows the loop: players compare notes aloud, accusations fly, and everyone either commits to a name or skips. Because servers hold at most 13 players, the electorate is small enough that individual votes carry real weight - one person switching is frequently the difference between expelling a killer and expelling an Investigator.

Skipping is a move, not a failure

The most instructive moment in the one full round we have on record is a non-vote: mid-argument, a player says 'I'll probably skip and just listen' - and learns more from staying silent than the players who guessed. Two players in that same round voted on vibes and were wrong. In a game where the killers win by deletions, a wasted vote does the killers' work for them.

The practical rule that survives from watching it: vote only on what you personally saw. Proximity to a body, someone who watched you do tasks and said nothing, a player who was with the victim last - those are votes. 'They were quiet' is a skip.

Information moves outside the meeting too

One single-source observation matters enough to repeat: recorded footage shows L messaging a specific player privately, away from the public discussion. If that is in the live build, the Investigator side can compare notes without telling the killers what they know - which changes how a meeting should open. Treat it as one player's account until more footage confirms it; nothing in the developer's description contradicts it.

What the town is actually voting on

The description gives the town two win routes - finish all tasks, or find Kira - and the vote is the second route's weapon. The recorded rounds also show why it is hard: the notebook pass in the current build is indistinguishable from pocketing it, per a 30-hour player's review, so a fifty-fifty tell is not a tell at all. Meetings reward people who tracked positions between meetings, not people who read the most into an ambiguous animation.

What we have not checked

Tie votes and what they trigger, how long meetings last, whether the vote tally is shown live or only at the end, and whether the killers vote too (the genre default is yes; nothing we can cite says it for this game). All of it is on the open questions list.
